Prayer Ministry
The North Hills Church Prayer Ministry provides support for the community of North Hills Church. Prayer requests often concern emergency needs: illness, surgery, job loss, and deaths in the family. However, any situation that concerns a person can be submitted to the prayer ministry, where people who are called to pray for others will do so.
Is any one of you in trouble? He should pray. Is anyone happy? Let him sing songs of praise. Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. (James 5:13-17)
The current prayer ministry includes a group of people in the church committed to having an active daily prayer life, an accessible and active prayer chain, and the availability of trained prayer leaders who make themselves available after each service to pray with individuals seeking prayer, and who are used in ministry to follow up on the those in our body who require special prayerful attention.
