It is our prayer that you and your child will have a meaningful experience. Children in 1st-6th grade will find loving teachers and Biblical principles shared each week. The elementary program follows the direction of the church in building biblically-balanced individuals and community.
Our Elementary Program’s purpose is five-fold:
to TELL kids about Jesus
The teachers are committed to sharing the love of Christ with the children. Through weekly Bible stories, children are exposed to the life of Christ. Bible activities help to ensure that children understand what has been heard. In turn, children are encouraged to share what they have learned with others.
to ASSEMBLE together, sharing life
We are committed to growing together on a weekly basis. Each week the children have a special place to go to worship with other children. Meeting together, sharing joys and sorrows, and learning more about Christ is our priority.
to BECOME more like Jesus
Sound biblical principles are shared and the life of Jesus Christ is studied so we can become more like Him. Cooperation, interaction, and positive attitudes are encouraged so we can treat each other with love and respect. Scriptureverses are memorized so we can stay strong in the Lord.
to LOVE GOD at all times
Our teachers are committed to showing, through example, their love for Jesus Christ. By modeling this love for Christ, children can see what a difference it can make in their life. We encourage children to help give back to God through giving to our mission fund. Worship time each week also shares our love for Christ.
to EXERCISE our gifts by serving others
The teachers in our elementary department are committed to serving God and North Hills church through volunteering on a regular basis to teach children. The children are taught to give of their time, talent and treasure wherever and whenever possible—on Sunday mornings at church and throughout the week in their daily lives.
