Place of birth:
Glasgow, Kentucky
Family Information:
Married to Rosalie. We have three sons: Jared, Justin, Jason; daughters-in-law, Jamie, Hannah & Lisa.
How did you come to NHC?
In the spring of 1992, I was on staff at First Family Church in Whittier and was a member of the team exploring the possibility of starting a church in Brea. North Hills Church began in February of 1993, and I was given the assignment of administrating its operation for the first year while still on staff at First Family. God blessed North Hills Church with growth, and in September 2001 Pastor Doug asked me to be a full time staff member.
What is your role at NHC?
I am responsible for Administration, Finance, Personnel, Office Operations, Facilities, Hospitality Ministries.
What is the best part about your role?
The best part about my role at North Hills Church is being able to work closely with so many wonderful volunteers. I am continually blessed and encouraged by so many team members who help fulfill the ministries of NHC.
Who is your favorite character in the biblical story? Why? How do you identify with him/her?
David is one of my favorite characters in the Bible. He was known as a "man after God's own heart" and yet he sinned miserably. I love the fact that although this man failed grievously he could still be called a man after God's own heart. This is good news for all of us who want to honor and please the Lord and yet fail in our Christian walk. Like David, I fail many times in my Christian walk, and yet I want to be known as a man after God's own heart.
Who are your favorite sports teams?
Lakers, Angels.
Who is your favorite musical artist?
My son, Jared Rich
What were you like in junior high?
I remember Junior High as a fun and rewarding time in my life. I was so busy with sports, playing pranks on girls, and keeping up with my jobs as a paper boy delivering 150 plus papers daily and mowing lawns that I had trouble remembering the real reason I was in school.
If you could only have one book to read (other than the Bible), what would it be?
Glasgow, Kentucky

If you could only have one book to read (other than the Bible), what would it be?
Purpose Driven Life. I have read the book and my men's group
used it as a study for several weeks. It conveys in a simple
understandable way how to fulfill God's purpose for our life. I find
myself often referring to it for myself and also as a useful tool when
ministering to others, as it is filled with scripture and great examples
on how to be in God's will.
If you could choose your last meal on earth, what would it be?
Ham, beans, cornbread, and strawberry shortcake with ice cream. They would have to be just like my grandma and mom used to make and now how my wife, Rosalie, makes.
What makes you laugh?
My grandchildren.
What makes you cry?
When I go on missions trips and see the needs of little children and their families. Then I cry again when I see how God uses the NHC missions team to meet many of those needs.
